Editorial from the Youth Director
In 2004, the youth club members worked very hard to raise money so we could attend U.S. Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. We sold cookie dough, as well as sold cookies, doughnuts, coffee and soft drinks at NWIAHC’s horse shows. We sold t-shirts with horse and rider’s pictures transferred on the front and sold hot dogs and chili/nacho concoctions at the concession stand at an open horse show last year. The fundraisers were very successful and we were able to raise enough money to send our youth members to the Nationals.
Those of us who were able to attend had a great time. Not only did we get to see the best of the best compete, but we were completely overwhelmed with the extravagance of the arena, the food, the stables, and most of all, the SHOPPING! It was my first time and we really had a good time. It made us want to be out there competing and it was fun to be caught up in all the excitement of the horses and riders!
Thanks for all of your hard work and I look forward to serving as your director again next year.
